Le Grenier à Pain was imagined and created by Michel Galloyer in 1998, and has over 30 branches from Paris to Tokyo.

For the first time in Africa, Le Grenier à Pain opens in Nairobi, Kenya.

Yan Welffens is a native French speaker with a passion for food. He joined the hospitality industry in 2001 and has worked and lived on 4 continents.

  • He’s a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
  • As a front runner in the opening and operations of various resorts and spas internationally, Yan has a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry.He recently worked as the Executive Assistant Manager at Tribe Hotel, Nairobi where he raised the standards of personalised customer service during his three-year tenure.
  • Yan believes that “food should be an experience, not just a meal”.

Myra Kivuvani is an experienced and well-known baker in Nairobi. A graduate in Global Management, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a Cake Connoisseur since 2008.

  • She is the director of Le Grenier à Pain Special Occasion Cakes line with an already established list of corporate and retail clients in Nairobi.
  • Her tasteful line of cake products are designed to fit any occasion and are based on original recipes and fresh seasonal ingredients.
